Eva Longoria was selling her new film Wednesday when she slyly labored in a dig at President Donald Trump. (Watch the video beneath.)
It was seamless. Longoria, 50, stars within the new children film “Alexander and the Horrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Unhealthy Street Journey.” So “Tonight Present” host Jimmy Fallon requested her about street journeys she took as a baby.
“I’m from Texas, so like all the pieces’s a street journey as a result of all the pieces’s to date,” the “Determined Housewives” alum mentioned.
She described a visit from her hometown of Corpus Christi to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, which required that the household drive across the “Gulf of Mexico,” she mentioned, with emphasis.
The viewers cheered, Longoria laughed and Fallon shot her a “possibly you shouldn’t have gone there” look that was both critical or, effectively, you be the choose on the 7:05 mark:
In January, Trump ordered the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America,” although it’s been referred to as the Gulf of Mexico for more than 400 years.
He’s gotten compliance from the likes of Google and the FAA and has punished organizations just like the AP that weren’t down with the rechristening. The wire service’s entry to Trump was restricted.
Props to Longoria, who has Mexican roots, for placing refined protest on the map.
