Stephen Colbert on Thursday mocked Mark Zuckerberg’s modifications to Meta after the tech billionaire introduced that the corporate would trash its fact-checking program in favor of a “group notes”-like system for posts, just like that of X.
“No, don’t belief the group. The worst half about social media is different folks,” Colbert quipped.
The “Late Present” host famous that Zuckerberg is becoming a member of an intensifying race to “kiss” President-elect’s Donald Trump’s “ass” after he revealed that Meta firms — like Instagram and Fb — would dispose of a fact-checking program that the CEO dubbed “too politically biased.”
Zuckerberg, who joins different Silicon Valley billionaires trying to apple-polish Trump forward of his inauguration, met with the president-elect at Mar-a-Lago in November and likewise donated $1 million to his inauguration fund.
