Seth Meyers is definitely down for former President Donald Trump’s smart-adjacent schtick.
“I like when Trump tries to persuade us that he hangs out with teachers, like when he stated English professors love how he rambles incoherently at his rallies,” the “Late Night time” comic stated Tuesday.
Trump, at a rally in August, boasted:
You understand, I do the weave. You understand what the weave is? I’ll discuss like 9 various things, they usually all come again brilliantly collectively and it’s like, and buddies of mine which can be, like, English professors, they are saying, ‘It’s probably the most good factor I’ve ever seen.’
Meyers recommended, although, that Trump “in all probability simply thinks anybody with an English accent is an English professor.”
“Some soccer hooligan in all probability as soon as screamed, ‘Give the wankers hell, Donald!’ and he was like, ‘I’ll, professor, I’ll,’” he joked.
