Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Thursday marked Thanksgiving with a put up on X, previously Twitter, that rebranded the vacation in honor of President-elect Donald Trump.
Greene shared a spoof definition of “Trumpsgiving” as “the expression of gratitude that Kamala is NOT the President.”
“[see also: ‘Trump Won’, ‘liberal tears’]” it added.
Whereas Greene’s MAGA-supporting followers lapped it up, critics roasted the conspiracy-theory-peddling lawmaker.
“It’s a cult,” wrote one. Added one other: “Think about your complete persona is Trump.” A 3rd urged Greene to “strive being regular for simply at some point.”
Per the crowdsourced City Dictionary web site, “Trumpsgiving” is “that particular vacation once we all give thanks for the absurd and by no means ending Washington shitshow” and “a day that binds us collectively in our mass gratitude for this home of playing cards.”
Trump, in the meantime, marked the day with a divisive rant on his Reality Social platform. Greene was final week named as head of a brand new Home subcommittee working in tandem with billionaire Elon Musk and former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s unofficial company searching for to slash public spending.
