Greenland’s prime minister says Arctic island doesn’t want to be part of US

Greenland’s prime minister seemingly shut the door on President-elect Donald Trump’s aspiration to accumulate the autonomous Danish territory, saying Greenlanders do not wish to be People or Danes.

“We wish to be Greenlanders,” stated Múte Egede Thursday on “Particular Report.” “We’ll at all times be part of NATO. We’ll at all times be a powerful accomplice for [the] U.S. We’re shut neighbors. Fox Information anchor Bret Baier requested Egede if Greenlanders would vote for independence from Denmark if given the chance. 

“Yeah, but it surely’s as much as the Greenlandic folks to determine after we wish to be unbiased. And I believe it is essential to see that if Greenland take[s] these steps, we are going to at all times be part of the Western alliance and a powerful accomplice for [the] U.S. as a result of your safety is our safety,” he replied.
