Stephen Colbert took a mocking take a look at Donald Trump’s weekend controversies on his return to the air on “The Late Present” on Monday.
Trump, on the Black Conservative Federation annual gala in South Carolina on Friday, claimed Black folks like him due to his prison indictments.
“I believe that’s why the Black persons are a lot on my aspect now as a result of they see what’s taking place to me, occurs to them. Does that make sense?” requested the previous president.
“No. No. It doesn’t make sense. Additionally, fairly daring for Donald Trump to finish any sentence with the phrase, ‘Does that make sense?’” Colbert responded.
“However, issues acquired really weird when Trump talked about developing with a reputation for his social media platform, Reality Social,” the comic added, noting Trump saying his adviser got here up with “these loopy names that no person understood,” together with “do-dong, da-dang.”
“Was he speaking to an adviser or an outdated radiator?” cracked Colbert, who then impersonated Trump chatting to the latter.
